Classic four-prong
Classic four-prong platinum. Nothing trendy about it. Will look right in forty years.
The trilogy setting is a work of art
Side stones are matched in color so well I cannot tell them apart from the center without a loupe. This is the kind of setting work you do not get from chain stores.
Halo reads bigger than the carat
The pave halo makes the one carat center look closer to a 1.5. Great optical trick. Lost a star only because the lead time was two days longer than quoted.
Light return is absurd
Had three GIA F VS2 rounds quoted by different dealers. This one outperformed the other two at the same spec. The cut grade is real.
The finish is real
Skeptical about online jewelers after a bad chain-store experience years ago. The piece arrived in a sealed box with the GIA report and a signed appraisal. The bezel and prongs read clean under a loupe. That is the ring I am wearing right now.
Exactly what I hoped for
The specialist sent me three stone options before I picked, with side-by-side price and grade comparisons. The bezel reads cleaner in person than in any photo I have seen. My partner cried. I cried. Ten out of ten.
